Moving Forward

I made a significant step toward making my dream a reality last week by flying up to Vancouver and making a deposit on an Escape 19. I was sustained by the positive comments I have received and read from satisfied Escape owners, both about the trailers and the people who make them. I had to see for myself, though, and invested some time and money to make this trip. My expectations were exceeded. I have decided on the 19 because I will be more comfortable in it. That means being able to fully stand up in the shower, for one thing. It is not scheduled to be completed until May 10 2017. I was there on the first day of sign ups. They are obviously in high demand. The trailers are quality built, many details left to the customer’s wishes. The owner and sales rep both are very pleasant and patient individuals. A good product with excellent customer service. I think I am making a good decision. The factory is in Chilliwack, an hour east of Vancouver in the Fraser River Valley. Exceptional scenery, exceptional weather. And my stay in Vancouver was enhanced by meeting up with a friend of mine, who is working on her Ph.D. at the University of British Columbia, who was presenting at an anthropology conference. Good for us all.
